Mae-Ling, I was interested when Julius Sowu posted up notice of your workshop about supporting the Ghana National Museum, which reminded me about conversations I had there with Joseph Gazari Seini (curator) and his Director, about display design, publishing, and the kinds of support that they could do with. I even harboured for a while the idea that they could be helped to het a small publishing unit together at the museum, and wondered how with my skillset in publishing I could help with that.
I also enjoyed your account of Jamestown, I spent a day wandering around there (no other oburoni but me), and liked the atmosphere generally, and got into some good conversations. Please could you keep me in touch with developments? Thanks.

Hi Conrad, great to hear from you! Would love to keep you in the loop as we hope to start ‘Friends of the Museum’. A newsletter will be coming out on the Revitalisation and History of the National Museum in 3 weeks so I will put you on the mailing list! With regards to Jamestown, it is indeed a great place waiting for regeneration…there is a Old Accra 2015 Strategy in place but needs to gather momentum. Will also send you details on it if you are interested. Best regards,
Mae

Very interested to hear how things develop both regarding Old Accra development and the Ghana National Museum. Thanks for putting me on your mailing lists. Is Joseph still curator there at GNM? Does Kofi Aryee still have his artist shop in the courtyard? If so, regards to both. I shipped some scraperboard to Kofi for his preferred art style and would like to know how he has got on with it.
